Kate Colburn re-joined Beemer Hadler & Willett PA in July of 2014. Though she is currently offering assistance in the form of general office support and legal research, she boasts many exceptional credentials that assist her with her duties. Kate received her Juris Doctorate in Law from UNC Chapel Hill in 2000, enjoyed eight years as a practicing attorney focusing in Family Law, and served three years as a Judicial Magistrate in Orange County. Kate served on the NC Court of Appeals for one year and was the winner of the MLK Scholarship for work in Poverty Law focusing in Consumer Issues and Landlord/Tenant Law
Jenna Hornik joined Beemer, Hadler, Willett & Lin as an associate attorney in April 2020. Prior to receiving her license, Jenna worked with Beemer, Hadler, Willett & Lin as a legal assistant and research assistant, focusing mainly on real estate law, estate planning, and business entity formation. Jenna graduated from Elon University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Event Management and Business Administration. She graduated cum laude from Campbell University School of Law with her Juris Doctor degree in 2019.
Prior to attending law school, Jenna spent a year working in the Athletic Department at Miami University of Ohio as a sales and marketing consultant where she organized group gameday experiences and assisted with on-field promotions at sporting events.
While in law school, Jenna worked with her father and brother as a legal intern and research intern at the Brough Law Firm in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she gained experience in Local Government Law and Land Use and Zoning Law.
In her free time, Jenna enjoys attending live sporting events, playing and coaching lacrosse, and spending time with her family and her dog, Huckleberry.
